Petition filed against Bala Krishna for distributing money

Hyderabad: Some photos and videos of actor and Hindhupur MLA Bala Krishna distributing money to the voters in Nandyal ahead of the by-poll have gone viral on the social networking sites. A section of media highlighted it and telecasted the visuals continuously on August 16. Bala Krishna was campaigning for TDP’s Nandyal candidate Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy and he was caught distributing money at a road show.

On Tuesday., a petition has been filed against Balakrishna in the Hyderabad High Court seeking action by the Election Commission for distributing money to voters during the campaign at Nandyal.

YSRCP general secretary K. Shiva Kumar filed the petition. He told the court that though they had filed a complaint with the EC, it failed to take action Bala Krishna.
