Why is there Emergency situation in Gurajala?

One word that is scaring YS Jagan most is Gurajala. This town in Guntur district is the scene of high voltage action between the ruling TDP and opposition YSRCP.

With elections fast approaching, he is afraid that the YSRCP will highlight the illegal mining activity going on in Gurajala with the active support and connivance of TDP MLA Yarapatineni Srinivasa Rao. This will expose the links between the ruling TDP and illegal miners.

The area has seen unbridled illegal mining and quarrying. Now, the YSRCP is trying to expose these wrong deeds. This is causing lot of disquiet for the TDP. Locals in the area are angry with the ruling party and want to back the YSRCP.

They feel the illegal quarrying is hitting their lives in a very bad way. The YSRCP has brought forth proofs of illegal mining and has exposed the links between the miners and the ruling party. The YSRCP has now sent a fact-finding committee to Gurajala.

An unnerved and jitter TDP is doing everything it can to prevent the YSRCP men from reaching the place. They are resorting to mass arrests and detentions. Several persons have been de-trained at various railway stations.

The YSRCP demanded to know why Chandrababu was so jittery at the very mention of the world Gurajala. They said the YSRCP would put an end to illegal mining mafia.
