Jagan's Comment Against Pawan Stirs Big Political Debate

The derogatory statement made by YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy against Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan targeting the latter’s personal life stirred a big political debate in Andhra Pradesh.

While a group of YSR Congress leaders supported Jagan another section worried over losing the support of Pawan’s community garnered by the party recently. The YCP Chief’s statement will definitely impact the state politics in the next elections.

Leaders said that Jagan’s remarks against Pawan are unwarranted as it will badly affect the winning prospects of YSR Congress in Kapu dominated Assembly Constituencies. They said targeting personal life was unfair on part of a strong leader in Andhra Pradesh.

Some leaders said that Pawan targeted Andhra Jyothi Md V Radhakrishna and TV 9 Chief Ravi Prakash at the time of Srireddy episode which created storm in film industry. They supported Jagan. The TDP leader and MLC Budda Venkanna’s support to Pawan raised doubts.

The political analysts, who support TDP, says BJP is playing a big political game in collusion with YSR Congress and Jana Sena to weaken TDP in next elections. As part of the game, Jagan targeted Pawan to help Jana Sena consolidate Kapus support. Another group of analysts did not rule out secret understanding between Chandrababu and Pawan to reduce anti incumbency impact against the TDP.
