Parakala Prabhakar resigns as Govt's media advisor

In a sudden development of far-reaching political implications, Andhra Pradesh Government’s media advisor Parakala Prabhakar has resigned from his post. He has sent his resignation to Chandrababu Naidu and requested him to accept it with immediate effect.

Of late, there have been reports that all was not well between Parakala and Chandrababu. Parakala in his letter said that he was resigning as his continuance could be seen as detrimental to the fight for the rights of the state.

He said there was a misinformation campaign against him as one of his family member is a key member in the NDA Government and that he was compromising on many issues. Hence, he was resigning and thanked Chandrababu for the opportunity to serve the people of Andhra Pradesh for four years.
