“RSS is insulting the Army”- Rahul Gandhi

Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday, 10.2.2018 in his address to the members in Muzaffarpur said his organisation has the ability to prepare an “army” to fight for the country within three days, if such a situation arises while the army will take around 6 -7 months to do the same.

This remark has landed the RSS and its fellow BJP party in trouble , with the Opposition demanding an apology for insulting the army. The new Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Monday criticised the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat for his insult and ‘disrespectful’ comments on the Indian Army and sought his apology.

Meanwhile the RSS spokesperson Manmohan Vaidya clarified “This was no way a comparison between the Indian army and the Sangh swayamsevaks but it was a comparison between general society and swayamsevaks. Both are to be trained by the Indian Army only.”
