Upping the ante against Chandrababu Naidu at his native home turf, YSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that the TDP leader has been known for his use-and-throw policy and people should join hands to infuse credibility and bring in values into the political system which allows the people to reject people who fail to keep up their poll promises.

In his reply to the people who poured out their woes, the Leader of Opposition said, the Chittoor Dairy which was systematically dismantled by Chandrababu Naidu to benefit his family run Heritage Foods but in the coming days, Chittoor Dairy would be made into more competitive by giving subsidies to farmers which would bring back the glory of the Dairy. Sugar factories in the cooperative sector have been made sick deliberately by design. The factories were systematically assaulted by the TDP which has led to the closure of the sugar factories to benefit the private sectors. We will sweeten up the factories in cooperative sector by reviving them. The loans of women groups would be cleared by the state and strengthen the DWACRA institutions.

Speaking at the Rachabanda (peoples forum) as part of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra here on Sunday, he said, Chandrababu Naidu was born and brought up in this Chandragiri constituency for which he has scant respect. The Seshapuram school in which he studied lies today in a dilapidated condition and the 100-bedded hospital sanctioned by YSR could not be completed and he has been pursuing with his use-and-throw policy to further his political and commercial agenda.

First elected to the Assembly in 1977 with a small majority of 2,500 votes had become a minister and he returned to contest as a minister next time he was miserably defeated by over 15,600 votes and when NTR had taken him in his stride, he had backstabbed him and usurped the Party and Power from him.

Chandrababu Naidu has been cheating all sections of people from farmers, women groups, students, minorities and all sections while housing and pensions have taken a back seat. The arrogance of the Chief Minister has come to the fore when he threatened a fisherman, who asked why he did not keep up the promise of including fishermen community into STs by saying that your skin will be peeled away if you behave like this.

Before elections he comes to you with pleasing words and a bagful of promises and had also distributed letters with his signature about the sops and once he came to power he conveniently forgot everything and has cheated farmers, DWACRA groups, students, youth, old people and housing scheme did not take off yet, he said.

Such people should be taught a lesson by infusing ethics into politics by bringing in credibility and values and there should be a position where the voters can question the leader if he goes back on his poll promise.

Corruption has been rampant and even small works are being withheld for not paying bribes, the people have complained.

After coming to power, we will take care of the education by depositing Rs 15,000 in to the bank accounts of the mother and carry out the fees reimbursement scheme in full for all professional courses. Aargoyasri, pensions, housing and other schemes would get a fillip, he said.
