Amit Shah, the President of BJP must be credited for the win of his party in Himachal Pradesh and more importantly in his home state of Gujarat. His painstaking plan to beat the anti incumbency and anger against the BJP in Gujarat by using all the tricks in his bag was evident in this closely-fought election.

PM Modi- the biggest trump card of BJP

It is now evident that there is no “vikas”plank for the BJP but only its first and final trump card, which is the “Modi factor.” This fact is evident from today’s election results in which the Chief Ministerial candidates of the BJP lost in their constituencies.

The Prime Minister became only a campaigner for his party since Gujarat was on the roll for election. No winter Parliament for him –only Gujarat, Gujarat and Gujarat. He ended up addressing 34 election rallies in the state, visiting every constituency and shockingly for the whole nation, playing a most dangerous communal card towards the end of the campaign in the Phase 2 of the election.

Amit Shah- the master planner

And Amit Shah who camped in his home state for a full 2 months planned the whole campaign to a micro-level. The counting is still going on in Gujarat and the result will be studied at many levels. Amit Shah’s claim of winning 150 out of 182 seats was impossible but a win with around 100 seats is still a win. A defeat was averted by this master-planner.
