Tomorrow is the crucial day for result of Assembly elections in the states of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. Though the exit polls have predicted a resolute victory for the BJP, it is known that exit polls are not always reliable.

The BJP which has been in power in Gujarat for nearly 20 years has been given a tough fight from an united opposition in which the new Congress president Rahul Gandhi has succeeded in stitching an alliance of local leaders like Hardik Patel, Jignesh Mewani and Alok Thakur.

EVM hacking alleged by Hardik and others

Patidar quota agitation head Hardik Patel and Dalit leader Jignesh Mevani have both raised the issue of a possibility of EVM hacking. The former said that 150 software engineers of an Ahmedabad-based company were preparing to hack 5,000 EVMs.

Hardik Patel said on Twitter that if a human body, made by god, could be tampered with, then why not an EVM, which is made by humans? “If ATMs can be hacked, why not an EVM?” he asked.
