YSR Congress Party on Monday severely condemned Andhrajyothi for publishing distorted versions of YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Adressing a press conference at Lotus Pond in Hyderabad, YSRCP leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy said that the party would explore legal options besides complaining to the Press Council of India and has decided to close doors on the media in question.
“It has been ridiculous and against the basic values of journalism to distort and publish news with a criminal intent to damage the reputation of our leader and the party and we will explore all legal avenues besides complaining to PCI and keeping that particular media away from our activities,” he said.
He further added that the Andhrajyothi has taken a stand to support the ruling party and oppose YSR Congress but such distortions and deviation from truth cannot be tolerated and we have taken the issue seriously and will take all necessary action, including defamation case, against the media house, he said.
