War between two groups: TDP leader attacked with knives 

The internal between two groups in Telugu Desam Party in Guntur East constituency reached to a dangerous level as they indulged in direct fights. The supporters of Amarnath and Kanaka Rao indulged in fist fighting and attacked each other.

According to reports, Kanaka Rao’s supporters attacked Amarnath with knives on Thursday. He was rushed to a near by hospital by his supporters. After attacking him, the TDP workers also attacked Amaranath’s hotel and damaged furniture. The fight broke out between Kanaka Rao and Amaranth over registering voters for the upcoming polls for Guntur corporation. On Wednesday, Kanaka Rao has beaten up Kanaka Rao. Angered by this, Kanaka Rao along with his supporters attacked Amarnath with knives on Thursday evening. They attacked Amarnath in his hotel itself.

It is learnt that the TDP leaders who are being supported by the two groups are bringing pressure on the police to not to file cases. Further details are awaited.
