Mahi V Raghav is the young filmmaker in Tollywood who impressed everyone with the films like Pathshala, and Anando Brahma. The director recently made a statement on Twitter which is a direct counter to all the award functions which are organized only for money and sponsors. Mahi told that he will boycott all the award functions that do not have a category for Best Writer and Best Editor.

“Any film awards without a category for best story/screenplay and best editor should be boycotted. It’s an insult to the craft of film making. Can’t understand best male and female singer being more important than a screenwriter & editor. Good or bad I have made my stand on the awards.. let me take a stand & hope my fellow Film makers actors and writers would stand by. IF I AM ever nominated for any AWARD I wouldn’t accept the nomination unless there is a category for a screen writer editor & core technicians.” Mahi V Raghav tweeted.

The director is currently busy shooting for the film Yatra. Mammootty is playing the lead role as YS Rajasekhar Reddy. The movie will have a release on 21st January.
