At long last, the Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP Government in Andhra Pradesh has admitted that not even a single DWCRA loan has been waived in the state. This was admitted by the government on the floor of the house.
In a written reply to a question from YSRCP MLAs RK Roja, Pushpa Srivani and Gauru Charita, Minister for SERP, women’s empowerment, welfare of senior citizens and women Paritala Sunitha said that not a single rupee worth of DWCRA loans out of Rs 11,069 crore has been repaied. She however said that the government has paid loan interest to a tune of 1338 crore.
The minister said that the Government was assisting the DWCRA women through Chandranna Pasupu Kumkuma scheme. She said that DWCRA women were being benefited more by the Pasupu Kumkuma scheme than the DWCRA loan waiver. She said all the loans are still pending.
