Pantham is the latest action film directed by K Chakravarthy, and this film marks his directional debut. The film stars Gopi Chand and Mehrene Kaur in the lead roles. The film is said to be 25th film in the actor’s career, and he is excited about the same.

Gopi Sundar has composed the music and AS Prakash is the art director. Prasad Murella is the cinematographer, and KK Radha Mohan produced the film. The film released today in the theatres and let us check out the review of the film here.

Story:

Vikranth Surana (Gopichand) is the managing director of a big company in London. He comes to India on a business deal and decides to stay back on a purpose and for a good cause. What is the cause? What changed his mind? How did he become the saviour for the people in India? Forms the story of the movie.

Performances:

Gopi Chand is perfect in the role he has played well. As a responsible citizen, in the film, he has given a good performance. Even though it is a regular role for him, the actor tried his best to make it different as much as possible. Mehreen Kaur, on the other side, impressed with the looks as well as performance. The lead pair’s chemistry on the screen worked well.

The comedy actors like Prudhvi Raj, Srinivas Reddy have tried their best to bring some laughs. Hamsa Nandini, Sampath Raj, Shiyaji Shinde, Pavithra Lokesh, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Ajay, and others are also good in their roles. The rest of the cast made their presence felt.

Technical Aspects:

The cinematography by Prasad Murella is the major plus point of the film. All the scenes looked vibrant and colorful. The editing by Pravin Pudi is neat.

The music by Gopi Sundar is good, and the background score he has provided for the movie elevated the film appropriately.

The artwork by AS Prakash is excellent. The production values maintained by Sri Satya Sai Arts and KK Radha Mohan are lavish.

Verdict:

Pantham movie released amidst a lot of expectations and the makers promoted the film as a socially relevant movie. The film unit really discussed an interesting social issue but the way it was dealt with is not really impressive.

The director tried to come up with an old story where the hero does a Robinhood but the audiences were already bored of watching them repeatedly. Moreover, the film becomes preachy in the end and the dialogues that Gopichand delivers in the climax emotionally absolutely made no impression with the viewers.

The film has good content but the execution resulted in a boredom for the audiences. On the whole, the film disappoints.

Rating: 2/5
