YSR Congress Party president and Leader of the Opposition in AP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday strongly reacted to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s statements on the special status issue.

Addressing a press conference, the YSRCP chief said that all MPs from Andhra Pradesh should submit resignations to mount pressure on the Centre over the special status issue.

“All MPs should submit mass resignations and we should support each other in the no-confidence motion,” YS Jagan said.

Lashing out at Chandrababu, YS Jagan said that Chandrababu Naidu said he decided to exit Modi Cabinet after listening to Arun Jaitley’s statement. “But, There is nothing new in Jaitley’s latest statement. He made the same statement on September 8th 2016 and Chandrababu did not say anything. Had if TDP came out of NDA then itself, Special Status would have been granted by now. I appeal Chandrababu to fight for SCS wholeheartedly at least now. TDP should support YSRCP’s No Trust Motion. If TDP comes forward to move the motion, We are ready to support it,’ the YSRCP chief stressed.

YS Jagan termed the TDP’s exit as people’s victory.” They should have done it long back. Why is TDP still continuing alliance with NDA?,” he asked.
