YSR Congress has said that the forty years of Chandrababu Naidus public life has been laden with unkept promises, deception and he could not get even a single project or an industry during his terms as Chief Minister and his inefficiency could be judged with the fact that he could not pursue the SCS despite being a coalition partner in the Centre and being in power in the state.
Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, party MP vara prasada rao said, it was Chandrababu Naidu who had sought 15 years of SCS during electioneering and after coming to power had changed tunes and has agreed for a special package even without knowing its contents.
He has been boasting of getting investments of Rs 20 lakh corers during the three Partnership Summits but the reality has been otherwise and the performance was dismal as only Rs 15,000 croes have come in as investments.
Had it been the SCS, the investment flow would have been different and there would be more and more investments pouring in as the status comes with numerous exemptions and concessions.
During the elections, he had given 600 promises and not a single promise has been fulfilled to the announced measure with farmers, women groups, weavers, students, youth, weaker sections and all sections of people left in the lurch, he said.
Of the Rs 90,000 crores only Rs 11,000 crores were waived for farmers and the waiver of DWACRA groups did not materialize as yet, he said.
Our Party MLAs have boycotted the assembly proceedings as the democratic spirit took a severe drubbing with Chanrababu Naidu buying MLAs and giving cabinet berths to some of them. We cannot tolerate this type of mockery of democracy and we opted to be away from the assembly, he said.
