Actor Krishna Kumari passes away

Veteran South Indian actress Krishna Kumari, who acted in more than 50 movies, passed away on Wednesday. She was 85.

The senior actress is survived by her daughter Dipika. She breathed her last while undergoing treatment at a private hospital due to age related problems. According to reports, Krishna Kumari underwent chemotherapy last year March.

Krishna Kumari, who made her acting debut in 1951 with a Telugu movie titled Navvithe Navaratnalu, acted in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada movies.

She worked with several veterans such as NT Rama Rao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Krishnam Raju, Dr Rajkumar, Sivaji Ganesan, Kanta Rao and Jaggayya.
