Andhra Pradesh is witnessing fast changing political developments. Strong speculations are doing rounds that a new political party combining Kapu and Dalit communities may come up in Andhra soon.
The unveiling of Ambedkar statue by Dalit leaders – Chinta Mohan and Harsha Kumar in Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham’s native village Kirlampudi triggered a big talk of possible creation of a strong political outfit involving Kapu and Dalit communities exclusively in the future.
Perhaps, first time in the AP politics, Kapu leader Mudragada facilitated the installation of dalit icon Ambedkar’s status in the kapu dominated village. Analysts says Mudragada sent a strong message that Kapus are very much cordial with dalits by unveiling the statue from the hands of dalit leaders .The presence of several senior Congress leaders including Koppu Raju raised many doubts that political equations will change in the state before 2019 elections.
Chinta Mohan also hinted in his speech that next Chief minister of Andhra Pradesh will be from East Godavari indirectly referring to the kapu leader. He also said that Dalit leader and BSP President Mayavathi formula will be adhered by the new political party in Andhra.
