AP CM Chandrababu’s fumble for words and his discomfiture was clearly seen during an interview with Rajdeep Sardesai in connection with the cash-for-note case scam.
He faced a similar situation at the the second day of the India Today Conclave South in Chennai. He also took u-turn on notes ban by saying demonetisation was good for the country. He was in conversation with India Today’s Rajdeep Sardesai on the second day.
Rajdeep openly questioned Chandrababu that why corruption is rampant in Andhra Pradesh and why are you encouraging defections. The AP CM had no reply and true to his style went into an angry harangue to extricate. At one stage, when Jagan’s name came, he replied, ‘who is that fellow’. Chandrababu, in turn, asked where is the corruption in Andhra Pradesh. He also said that the MLAs are voluntarily coming to the party.
Speaking on the demonetisation, Chandrababu said, “In my state, there is no cash crunch. Ninety per cent of the people are supporting the move, only five to ten per cent are opposing”. Talking about Amaravati as the best capital city in India, he said, “I will build a bigger, better city than Hyderabad. Amaravati, the Andhra capital, will be the best city in India.”
