Vijay Antony’s Bethaludu has hit the theater today. Let us see how interesting this is.

Dinesh (Vijay Antony) is a senior software engineer who marries an orphan girl Aishwarya (Arundhati Nair). While he is leading a happy life, he suddenly starts hearing strange inner voices in his mind. He goes to a psychiatrist who takes Dinesh to his last breath. He was a school teacher in the past life and marries a young girl Jayalakshmi. Shockingly, he was killed by his own wife. Why did he kill him? Who is Jayalakshmi? How does Dinesh come out from this? forms the rest of the story.

Vijay Antony once again came with terrific performance and he merged himself into the character . But expressions wise, he should improve much. Arundhati Nair performed very well. She has made full use of the opportunity given to him. Charuhaasan was good. Others including Siddhartha Shankar, Kamal Krishna and Kitty have done good job.

Background score is top notch and it elevated the film. Cinematography is also impressive. Editing could have been better in the second half. Production values are decent.

Director Pradeep came with a different concept and emerged successful in keeping viewers glued to the seats throught the first half. The first half of the film is super gripping and filled with a lot of thrilling elements. Had he concentrated more on the second half, the output of the film could have been far better.

Vijay Antony had a good takeoff in Tollywood with Bichagadu and it made him a household name in the Telugu states. He came out a with a different story. By releasing 10 minutes of the film in YouTube before it’s release, he managed to create a great buzz over the film.

The film’s biggest USP is gripping first half but post interval, the movie goes downhill and some unnecessary scenes come in to the picture.Certain logics go missing in the film. The climax is very routine and the mass masala fight does not add much to the storyline.

You can give this film a shot for a superb first half.
