He asked to add three more districts in Telangana
In view of political pressure over the demand of making three more new districts in Telangana, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao has asked to review the formation of new districts. He would add three more districts like Gadwal from Mahabubnagar, Sirisilla from Karimnagar, Janagama from Warangal districts. By adding these three districts the total number reaches twenty(list of newly establishing districts) and total districts in the state reaches 30.
For the last couple of weeks there is a lot of political pressure to announce three more districts which are desirable to get the statute. T-Congress MLA, D.K. Aruna resigned recently for not announcing Gadwal as new district. Hence, Chief Minister has decided to meet the ruling party leaders from districts on the issue of reorganization of districts. According to the schedule finalised, he would meet the leaders of Karimnagar, Warangal, Adilabad, Khammam and Hyderabad on October 3. The meetings with district leaders was planned in tune with the Chief Minister’s idea to carry out the process of reorganization that included formation of new districts, revenue divisions and mandals as per people’s opinion. The meetings would be held in the Chief Minister’s camp office. Ministers, Members of Parliament, legislators, chairpersons of zilla parishads, and district cooperative central banks and district president of TRS were told to attend the meetings.
