50 Trapped Workers In Srikakulam Flood Rescued

Torrential rains lashed out Srikakulam district. According to reports, as many as 50 sand workers were feared trapped in the flood water near Puroshothapuram in Sarubujjili Mandal.

The rescue teams including NDRF and SDRF pressed into service and rescued all the labourers. It took nearly 10 hours to rescue the workers as the increasing rainfall throughout the night.

With the help of Visakhapatnam Navy personnel, the rescue teams have brought all the so members to a safer place. The workers were asked to not to go into the river in rough weather.

On the other hand, many farmers have lost their crops due to heavy rain and flood water.
