Lokesh faces embarrassing moment

In a major embarrassment to IT and Panchayat Raj minister Nara Lokesh, the farmers questioned him publicly on farm dues in Amaravati on Tuesday. Nara Lokesh faced the ire of the farmers when they said they have not been receiving payments for their produce for the past three years but the government is remained silent.

The farmers also alleged that they are running from pillar to post for the payments but the government has failed to look into the matter.

They also informed Nara Lokesh that a total of Rs 10 crore was due to 310 farmers from the district. “Delay in payments is causing hardships and the government should immediately look into the matter,” they told minister Lokesh.

Lokesh tried to calm down them by saying wait for some more days.
