What was the real reason for the Chief Minister, K. Chandrashekar Rao’s sudden return from Delhi to Hyderabad last week? He was to lead an all-party delegation from Telangana to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi but they would not be given an appointment with the prime minister.

The wedding of Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar’s son on February 6 seemed to be a chance to discuss all pending issues of the newly formed state, including the sharing of properties with Andhra as agreed in the AP Reorganisation Act of 2014 and also press for the categorisation of scheduled castes based on their social and economic status.

The CM of the neighbouring state of Andhra has also been blamed for the repeated rebuttals which have crystallized the feeling that the PM has no time for KCR. The TRS has accused state BJP leaders for the cancelled meeting with Modi.

PM always on campaign trail?

The PM these days seems to have time only for election campaigning in the 5 states that are going to elections. And it must be noted that in all these states the BJP does not have a CM face- instead their main star is only Narendra Modi. When will the government leave these Assembly elections to local leaders in the respective states and concentrate on efficient running of government at centre?
