Natural star Nani’s Nenu Local has hit the theaters on Friday. Let’s see how this film has fared.

The story of Nenu Local begins with Babu (Nani) going to write an exam. He makes many attempts to clear his backlogs in B.tech. Unable to bear Babu every time, invigilator himself allows him to copy during the exam. He falls in love with Keerthi who is the daughter of the same invigilator. After a lot of effort, Nani manages to woo Keerthi. But he gets disturbance from Keerthi’s father and a sub-inspector who has been loving Keerthi for the past four years. How Nani comes out from this tricky situation and how he gets his girl forms the rest of the story.

Natural star Nani is his usual self in the film. He pulls off his role as a local guy with ease. He succeeded in entertaining viewers with his comedy timing, dialogue delivery and mannerisms. Keerthi Suresh tries to make the most of her presence. She looks beautiful and her chemistry with Nani is one of the plus points of the movie.

Naveen Chandra and Sachin Khedekar have done a good job. Posani Krishna Murali brings few laughs. Others including Easwari Rao and Vennela Kishore have done justice to their roles.

Music by DSP is good and a few songs will remain among the top songs in the next few weeks. Background score is ok. Cinematography is good. The editor should have trimmed off a number of scenes in the second half.

Cinema Choopista Mava fame Trinadh Rao has handled the direction and screenplay. At a time when viewers are craving for new stories, Trinadh Rao has picked up a routine story. It appears the director has concentrated more on comedy instead of story and screenplay. He loses control of the film in the second half.

The first half of Nenu Local is pretty entertaining with some good comedy and love track between the lead pair. The interval episode also is neatly executed, with a nice twist. But the film’s second half is a big letdown and the climax episode is also not impressive. Comedy quotient drops alarmingly in the second half and the story becomes quite predictable. Nani has tried his best, but that is not enough to save this film. Some of the scenes are a mixture of Idiot and Nenu Sailaja.

Overall, Nenu Local is going to end up as an average entertainer for Nani.
