IMD predicts rains continue for two more days in Telangana
Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) expecting that heavy rainfall will continue the next three days for Telangana state. Meanwhile, the driving rains caused to disturbed the normal life in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states for last week. The heavy rains reasoned flooded of several low-lying areas including the city of Hyderabad. The nonstop rains blocked the drainage system in Hyderabad. The nonstop downpour caused many bridges and roadways blocked and the capital city witnessed about 164mm rainfall during last night resulting in several localities getting inundated. On the other side, heavy rains lashing normal life in several parts of the Guntur districts in Andhra Pradesh. The drains are overflowing with flood waters, several railway tracks are damaged and roads are divested in Sattenapalle, Dachepalle and other parts of the districts. Several trains scheduled on those routes including Tirupati bound Krishna Express were short terminated and some were cancelled. Railway department has made alternate arrangements with help of APSRTC to transport the stranded passengers at different places to the safer locations. The heavy rains in Guntur districts showed its effect on boarder district of Prakasam district, with flood water from Guntur to Prakasam reached the danger levels. Heavy rains also lashed out the Rayala seema region. Kurnool district had affected normal life; lakes are overflowing numerous parts in the district. The situation is different in remaining districts of Anantapur, Chittoor and costal district like Nellore. It’s not different in West Godavari. Several low line areas in the district got inundated. Rains are also lashing Vizianagaram and others parts of North Coastal districts. Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu has reviewed the situation in the state. He has given instructions to all the top bosses of costal districts to initiate the further rehabilitation activities and speed up the establishment of help lines to communicate the people who are in the low line areas.
