Hyderabad schools top the charts in ICSE and ISC results

Class 10 Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Class 12 Indian School Certificate (ISC) exam results were released on Monday. Students from schools in Hyderabad topped the charts in both ICSE and ISC results.

A press release issued by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) states that the southern region has fared the best compared to other regions in the country.

In the southern region, the pass percentage is 99.69% in the ICSE examination and 98.38% in the ISC examination. 3,948 students from 40 schools in Telangana State appeared for ICSE exams and 705 students took ISC exams.

Telangana State has fared better than the national pass percentage of 98.51% in ICSE and 96.21% in ISC and has secured 99.06% in ICSE and 97.73% in ISC this year.

The top rankers from Hyderabad were from Gitanjali School, Gitanjali Devashala, Nasr Girls School, Kalpa School, International School, Future Kids School, Hyderabad Public School and Nasr Boys School.

Gerry Arathoon, CEO of the Council told reporters, “ In both the classes, girls have outperformed boys.” The pass percentage of girls is 98.95% while that of boys is 98.15%. In Class 12, the pass percentage of girls is 97.63% while that of boys is 94.15%. The southern region also has the highest percentage of girls i.e. 49.96% who had appeared in the ICSE examination and 51.21% who had appeared in ISC examinations.
