Andhra Pradesh Minister N Chandrababu Naidu yet again made some sensational remarks on farmers. This time he openly said that farmers in the state have become slaves by getting input and crop subsidies.

Chandrababu Naidu was addressing an event — E-Pragathi ISB Graduation Certificate programme organised at Praja Darbar at his Camp Office in Vundavalli here in Amaravati.

It may be recalled that the Chief Minister had made distasteful comments against farming community in the past.

Stating that his government has been bringing about several reforms in the farming sector, Chandrababu Naidu said that farmers have become slaves and rely completely on subsidies from the government. The input subsidy is provided to farmers when they were losing the standing crop due to natural calamity.
