Groupism among the Non Resident Telugus in America has given reason for worry to the ruling TDP ahead of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s upcoming official tour in the US. The TDP NRI wing has cautioned to avoid groupism and make the Naidu’s tour a great success.

Chandrababu Naidu, along with a 12-member delegation, is scheduled to visit America from 13th November to 21st November. A CM-headed delegation team will visit Los Angeles, Dallas, San Francisco, Chicago, New York and New Jersey, in what will be his first tour of America after becoming Chief Minister in June 2014.

Naidu would visit the US in view of attracting foreign investments and make NRIs and Non-Resident Telugus to be part of the development in the mother land. Naidu would request the NRI business people to become a part of developing the Smart Village programmes. However, the worrying factor ahead of the tour is the growing groupism among the Telugus in their adopted country. Not just on regional basis but they are disgustingly divided on caste lines and there are local associations in the US exclusively for different castes. Hence, the APNRT Society has issued guidelines asking the wrangling groups to avoid groupism.
