A 31 year old dairy farmer from Haryana, Rakbar Khan is now the latest victim of mob-lynching by so called Gau Rakshaks in the Alwar town of Rajasthan. On Friday, 21.7.18, when Rakbar with a friend, Aslam(now an eye-witness) were bringing cows to Mewat, they were allegedly attacked by a mob claiming support of the local MLA( a BJP leader Gyan Dev Ahuja).

Rakbar bleeds to death due to internal injuries-police delay?

The Alwar police were informed of the incident and arrived immediately at 00.30 hrs but took an inordinate delay(more than 3 hours) taking Rakbar to hospital which was only 5-6 kms away, causing his death. They allegedly took a tea break and also made arrangements to take the cows to the Gau shala. A witness said the police had also beaten Rakbar Khan who was declared brought dead at the hospital.

Autopsy report of Rakbar

Rakbar Khan died of shock and injuries from a “blunt weapon or object”, according to a post-mortem report. The report also listed seven to eight fractures on his body. “There were injuries on the body. Internal bleeding led to the death.” said the forensic doctor to the media.
