Hyderabad: Describing the July 24 bandh as a revolt against the betrayal of Chandrababu Naidu for the past four years on various assurances given during the division of the state, YSR Congress has said that any obstacles the state would create or any attempts to foil the bandh would be counter-productive.

Speaking to media here on Sunday party senior leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy said, the debate on the no confidence motion has shown that no one was interested in the SCS or the issues of the state but they were busy in furthering their respective agenda and no party has supported the no trust move aimed at benefitting the state.

No political party has raised the issues mentioned in the State Reorganisation Bill which shows that it is only for us to fight it out with the Centre.

At least now Chandrababu Naidu should realise his folly and should not create hurdles of any sort during the bandh as it is in the interest of the state and it was only YSR Congress that had raised the issues ranging from SCS to setting up of institutions for the past four years.

Why did Chandrababu Naidu go to Delhi after the no trust vote was defeated is a question which is high on the minds of political observers. Is it to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving the Central government an opportunity to organise a pre-poll dry run on who is on which side and the issues that are likely to come up for 2019 general elections or is it to cobble up a new coalition, he said.

The Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has made it clear and categorically stated that the bond with TDP is strong and cannot be broken while Prime Minister made it clear that the special package was announced only after taking the consent of Chandrababu Naidu, he said.

He appealed to all parties and organistions to take part in the July 24 state-wide bandh and said that the government should refrain from creating any hurdles for the bandh.
