Kiran Kumar Reddy joins Congress

Former chief minister Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy has returned to the Congress on Friday.
He formally announced after a meeting with party president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi.

Kiran Kumar Reddy had resigned as chief minister and the Congress in February, 2014 protesting against bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

Later, he floated the Jai Samaikya Andhra party and fought the 2014 elections but could not even win a single seat.

It is learnt that former CM has sought a key position in the All India Congress Committee befitting his stature. After joining the party, he said that only Congress party will do justice to Andhra Pradesh and fulfil promises made in the bifurcation act.
