Controversial actress Sri Reddy, who often hit the headlines, joined the protest of MGNREGS wage seekers at Gurijepalli village in Yerragondapalem. Sri Reddy was on her way to Srisailam. After seeing the protest, Sri Reddy stopped her car and extended her support to the protest.
The workers have staged protest demanding the officials to provide work to them in their villages. ” They are providing work far away from our villages. We are not able to attend the work due to scorching heat and low wages,” they alleged.
Sri Reddy sat in the protest for about 20 minutes and demanded the authorities to solve their problems.
