Speaking at the second day of the Congress party’s 84th plenary session, the Congress President Rahul Gandhi said the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh were like Kauravas who are designed to fight for power while the Congress was the Pandavas who fight for the truth. “Will India live in a lie or have the courage to face the truth?” he asked.
The example of this epic has been used by our politicians very often and on Sunday, 18.3.2018 and Rahul Gandhi effectively turned the tirade against the ruling BJP and mocked it for having a President ( Amit Shah) who is accused of murder (in the Sohrabbuddin case).
Rahuls one hour speech most effective
Accepting boldly that the Congress failed to live upto the people’s expectations in their last term, he added that, “but we are humans, we make mistakes. Modiji thinks he is not human but an incarnation of God.” Continuing in his criticism of the Prime Minister, he said,“When it is important for the prime minister to speak, he goes silent”
“You can steal Rs 33,000 crore from the banks and the BJP government will protect you.” He also attacked the RSS for having no respect for the country institutions and said the RSS instead wants the judiciary, the Parliament and the police to function under it.
