A BJP government took charge for the first time in Tripura fter ending the 25 year rule of the Left Front. Biplab Kumar Deb took oath as first BJP chief minister in North East state.
PM Modi, BJP chief Amit Shah, Former CM of Tripura Manik Sarkar, Senior BJP leaders LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and HM Rajnath Singh at the swearing in ceremony of Biplab Deb and others.
Governor Tathagata Roy also administered the oath of office to BJP leader Jishnu Deb Burman as the deputy chief minister along with seven other ministers.
The Assam Rifles ground hosted the grand swearing-in function.
“A 100-ft-long stage was erected for the big function. This is a big day for us as it marks a political transition for the state. The victory has been made possible by the development work of Modiji that has inspired our workers in Tripura to work for a change,” BJP general secretary Ram Madhav
