District collector orders inquiry into TDP MLA land encroachment case

The alleged land encroachmentscases of TDP MLA Bonda Uma Maheswara Rao have taken a new turn as the District Collector ordered an inquiry into the matter taking the cases as suo moto.

The investigation is carried out based on the news stories and articles that have been published in the media.

The Krishna District Collector directed the officials to seek evidences from the victims. It may be recalled that the TDP MLA had encroached five acres that belonged to a freedom fighter. Providing fake documents, Bonda Uma Maheshwara Rao registered the land which worth Rs 50 crore, in the name of his wife. He later threatened the senior citizen and son Suresh of facing dire circumstances.

The incident came to light when Suresh and his father approached CID officials. Suresh told the police that the MLA had been harassing him and did not demolish the fencing he had erected in the land.
