TDP offered Rs 5 crore to buy this honest MLC?

Andhra Praadesh politics are turning murkier with each passing day. Soon after Kodumur MLA Mani Gandhi’s confession, another MLC from Godavari district came out before media saying that the TDP leadership had offered him a whopping Rs 5 crore during the MLC polls.

MLC Ramu Suryarao, who was elected from Teachers’ constituency, wears honesty on his sleeves.

An ordinary man of origin, he still travels in an ordinary RTC bus to attend works either of the party’s or his personal ones.

Suryarao was in the news after he had cleaned garbage at a government hospital in the district recently.

Speaking to a vernacular media channel, he admitted that the top bosses in the TDP have been luring him with money. Suryarao said that the TDP leaders had offered him Rs 5 crore during the MLC elections and asked him to abstain from attending election campaigning.

Following Kodumur MLA Mani Gandhi’s confession that the TDP had lured him into the party by showing hefty money, several opposition leaders came before media to pour out their past experiences with the TDP. If this has been the case with the MLC elections, to what extend the TDP leaders have gone in buying the YSRCP MLAs to encourage defections, he pointed out.
