One More Big Scam In AP!

Scams are haunting Andhra Pradesh. Under the leadership of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, misappropriation of funds allocated for Polavaram, MGNRES programme and other developmental programmes already came to light.

In a fresh, another scam in the construction of Secretariat, High Court and Assembly building is on the cards. Giving a big shock to all, government estimated the cost of construction of the Secretariat at Rs 2,700 crore and Assembly and High Court at Rs Rs 2, 229 crore.

The chief minister has reportedly finalised price per square feet at Rs 7,129 which is highest ever in the country. Generally, government fix the construction cost by including land price. In this case, government is giving away lands to the construction agency and fix higher prices.

Construction experts says, the cost will not exceed Rs 3,000 per square feet in the present price index. If the multi national companies are given works, prices will be slashed further as they use more machinery in the construction work.
