The BJP has reiterated its stand that there will be no apology forthcoming from the Prime Minister about his accusation implicating that Pakistan is interfering in Gujarat elections as evident in a meeting in which the former Congress Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was present. Both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha are rocked by the same opposition demand for clarification and apology from the PM since Winter Parliament started.

“Nobody is going to give apology. Nothing happened in the House. No statement is made in the House. There is no practice of suspension of Question Hour. Don’t make a mockery of the House. Already wrong message is going”was the repeated statement of Venkaiah Naidu, the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha.

Can we get away from accusations which are imagined and not based on fact? Especially ahead of the crucial Gujarat elections for which it was manufactured? The BJP inspite of winning its most prestigious state, the BJP could manage it only with 99 seats and with a narrow margin of 12 seats( Congress won 80) with many constituencies recording only narrow wins for the ruling party.
