Vijayawada boat collapse: Modi condoles loss of lives

The death toll in the Vijayawada boat accident has risen to 19. Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved families.

“Capsizing of a boat in the Krishna River is anguishing. My thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives in this tragedy. Andhra Pradesh Government and @NDRFHQ have been working on rescue operations: PM @narendramodi,” Prime Minister’s Office said in a tweet.

AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu inspected the spot and enquired about the rescue operations.
