Roja Questions TDP over Deaths In Narayana Colleges

YSR Congress Party firebrand MLA RK Roja demanded the TDP government to sack two ministers Ganta Srinivas Rao and Narayana from the Cabinet for the growing number of suicides in private educational institutions.

Addressing the media at the party office at Lotus Pond, the Nagari MLA said that Rs 25 lakhs compensation should be paid to families of the students who committed suicides. ” There is no result with setting up of new committees. We have already seen from the previous incidents where the proceedings went on as a mere formality like eyewash. Chandarbabu Naidu should tell what action was taken against the erring colleges and managements. We demand that cases should be registered against the colleges and managements, clean up the mess created by the private colleges and implement Chakrapani Committee recommendations,” she said.

She demanded the government to sack municipal administration minister Narayana, who owns the chain of colleges which has witnessed the maximum number of suicides.
