YSRCP leader Silpa Chakrapani Reddy Attacked In Nandyal

Tension gripped in Nandyal after his rivals made an attempt on the life of YSRCP leader Silpa Chakrapani Reddy while he was returning to Hyderabad after consoling the bereaved family members of a YSRCP councilor on Thursday.

A group of ruling party leaders tried to attack Silpa Chakrapani Reddy with weapons. According to reports, Bhuma Nagi Reddy follower Abhiruchi Madhu even fired five rounds at Silpa Chakrapani. However, Silpa Chakrapani Reddy was escaped unhurt in the incident.

Later, speaking to the media, Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy alleged that the TDP leaders obstructed his vehicle and threatened to kill him. He said that they even opened fire on them.Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy criticised the police for not reacting quickly over the incident and demanded the government to file cases against the accused.
