CCTV footage incriminates Sasikala in Bengaluru prison

The AIADMK general secretary and late Jayalalithaa’s closest friend and confidante, who is presently lodged in the Central Prison in Bengaluru seems to have enjoyed highly special privileges. The CCTV footage submitted by the former DIG of Prisons, D.Roopa to the Anti Corruption Bureau of Karnataka police shows her Sasikala walking into the main entry area of the high security prison.

A day after photos of Sasikala’s cell in the Parappana Agrahara prison was released, a video clip revealing Sasikala and Ilavarasi grossly violating the prison rules by not wearing convicts’ uniform and moving around in civilian dress inside the barrack, was leaked on Tuesday. Walking in the corridor at the entry gate of the women prisoners barrack is Sasikala in a silk salwar-kameez and Ilavarasi , wearing a saree. The CCTV camera is installed at the entry gate of the women prisoners barrack.

Alleged 2 crore-payoff

It was alleged that Rs 2 crore was paid off by the AIADMK leader and nephew of Sasikala TTV Dhinakaran to some unknown prison officials and that this was also known to the Delhi police.many more details will be revealed in the next few days as the former DIG of Prisons Roopa has submitted 74 enclosures to the ACB.
