Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Kalikho Pul’s wife, Dangwimsai Pul, met the Vice president of India, Hamid Ansari and requested for filing of FIR against Chief Justice of India JS Khehar and Justice Dipak Misra to facilitate independent probing of allegations of corruption against them. She was accompanied by a delegation of lawyers and activists including Prashant Bhusan, Harsh Mander and Yogendra Yadav.

The letter said that she was approaching the Vice-President as the suicide note of her husband contained allegations of corruption against the President, Pranab Mukerjee.

Kalikho Pul was Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh from February 19 to July 13, 2016, committed suicide on August 9, 2016, following which 10 copies of his 60-page suicide note, dated August 8, 2016 were found. The 60 page note titled “Mere Vichaar” or ‘My Thoughts’, showed his “anguish about the corrupt state of affairs in politics and in the judiciary in the country”, claimed his widow, Dangwimsai Pul.

Wife requests investigation by independent judges

“Given the gravity of the allegations contained in the note and the fact that many of them are from his personal knowledge and that a suicide note is treated like a dying declaration, this matter needs to be seriously investigated by a credible investigation team”saysnMrs. Pulin her letter addressed to the Vice-President.

The incredible contents of the suicide note have shocked people but they need to be investigated.
