The Prime Minister in his election rally in Uttar Pradesh surprised people by saying that a conspiracy/sabotage(planned by Pakistan) was the cause of the terrible Kanpur train accident in November 2016 that killed more than 140 people.
“Fatigue of railway tracks” was cause of train tragedy
On Monday, in a video conference by the Railway minister Suresh Prabhu with all the railway police chiefs, the UP Police DG, Gopal Gupta said that preliminary investigations reveal that “fatigue of railway tracks” was the cause for the derailment of 14 coaches of the Indore- Patna express and “they had found non traces of explosives at the accident site.”
The investigation is now with the National Investigation Agency( NIA) which is still probing the matter.
