Jaipal Reddy admits high command flaw on YS Jagan

Senior Congress leader and former union minister S. Jaipal Reddy in an interview to a TV channels has made some sensational comments on Congress high command’s miss calculations on assessing the YS Rajasekhara Reddy popularity when he died in an accident. In a candid admission Reddy said that the party high command had failed to understand the ground realities and the pulse of the people even after YSR’s sudden demise.

If the Congress high command had assessed the situation in right perspective and announced YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as his father’s successor the situation would have been different, he said. Jaipal Reddy, who was very close to 10 Janpath, the real power centre at that time said that the party high command had realized its mistake, but not before YS Jagan walked out of the party. Stating that that he really doesn’t know what happened behind the curtains and what prompted the administration to file corruption cases against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy

Reddy who played a crucial role bifurcation of the State said that the party high command should have sacked Kiran Kumar Reddy when he refused to accept the State division. In reply to a question Reddy said that Chandrababu can’t escape from his responsibility in State bifurcation, though the ultimate decision was taken by Sonia Gandhi.
