Seattle federal judge suspends Trump’s travel ban

A federal judge in Washington has temporarily issued temporary suspension orders on the 90-day travel ban on residents from seven predominantly Muslim countries – Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia and Yemen, issued by Donald Trump, days after he assumed the office of President in United States.

US District Judge James Robart upheld cases brought by two states – Washington and Minnesota and granted an order effectively suspending the order issued by Mr Trump on Jan 27, calling it illegal. He said the order adversely affects residents in areas of education, employment, education and freedom to travel.

Trump vows to appeal against order

Meanwhile Trump vowed to appeal against the order and the Department of Justice under him is readying the process. Travelers from the above 7 countries are surrounded by a state of confusion and chaos.

Iranian baby caught in the travel ban

Iranian baby travelling with parents for a heart surgery was caught in the travel ban chaos. A former Norwegian prime minister was detained for an hour at an airport in Washington because he had an Iranian visa in his passport.
