‘Uber’ atrocities getting beyond the limits

People these days are mostly resorting to Uber and Ola cabs for transportation mainly because of their low costs unlike local travels. But, they too are taking people for a ride and especially Uber cabs are getting costlier day by day. It may be the fault in software or the cleverness of drivers but they are turning out to be more painful than auto drivers who tamper the meter for extra money.

People got used to Uber as it prevents them from driving long distances to their work spots. Though the distance is the same every day, the ride is getting costlier. It is getting twice or sometimes even thrice the normal rate depending on the range of the vehicle and distance increases automatically. With this the passengers are forced to pay those amounts and get down. People can complain to police or road transport department in case of auto drivers. But that is not the case with Uber. As they don’t even give customer care numbers to complain, people have to post a mail and there is no guarantee over the response.

There is another complaint from the customers that if they ask the driver about the high rates in the bill, they say that even the previous ride’s charges are also added (though we didn’t). As there is no chance of leaving the car without paying the amount, the passengers are getting confused over this issue. Sometimes we book a cab and it doesn’t turn up on time. Even the driver doesn’t pick up the call and the only way is to send a message to the company which gets late response. So, if we take another vehicle and forget the cancellation, then there will be fine on us.

Not stopping with all these cheatings, Uber’s bill includes basic charge, distance charge, time charge which taxes heavily from the customers. As these deceptions occur occasionally people are getting frightened to book them. We need to see how police authorities and government officials who fires on auto waalas every time respond on this new age crime.
