Principal Secretary makes serious allegations on CBI,seeks voluntary retirement

Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal’s former principal secretary, Rajendra Kumar, has sought voluntary retirement from service. In his 26 page letter seeking VRS, he made allegations of torture by the CBI adding that his interrogators promised him to set him free if he implicated Kejriwal. Rajendra Kumar, a 1989 batch officer, wrote, “During interrogation, I was repeatedly told that I would be let free if I implicate Chief Minister of Delhi.

Rajendra Kumar was the former aide of Delhi Chief Minister. His office was raided in December 2015 and he was arrested in July last year. He said that he was having to pay the price for his ‘political neutrality.’

He wrote, “I have been made to pay the price for my belief in the political neutrality of a civil service officer in the form of false cases against me, accusing me of corruption and other charges… during the last few months, I have experienced an administrative environment wherein it seems extremely difficult to secure fair treatment and justice from central government agencies.”

“I can only say that the criminal physical abuse and the atrocities perpetrated and the words and language used against many people in my case were much worse than what was experienced and written by Mr Bansal,” he alleged, referring to the case of B K Bansal, former Director General in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs who along with his family committed suicide last year, alleging harassment by the CBI.

The CBI has denied the accusations, as baseless.

Reacting to to the sensational disclosure, Kejriwal tweeted, “CBI raids my office, pressurises officer to implicate me. CBI raids Satinder Jain’s office. Why are u so so scared of us Modi ji? Chill.”
