The ministers in the AP cabinet have received a shock on Thursday morning during the cabinet meeting. The security officials at the secretariat in Velagapudi stopped the ministers who came to attend the cabinet meeting and requested them to deposit their phones. The security officials informed the ministers that they have received a directive from the Chief Ministers. Earlier, ministers were allowed to bring mobile phones with them which would be kept either on silent mode or preferably switched off.
With no option, the ministers attended the cabinet meeting without phones. This sudden move by Chandrababu has become a talk of the topic among the ministers.
Chandrababu reportedly took this decision to check any possibility of leakage of important information through phones.
Mobile phones are already banned in the cabinet meetings in Britain and France.
