Biopic trend knocks Tollywood

Madhura Sridhar to make KCR’s biopic

The culture of making biopics has finally hit Tollywood. However, the untold story does not belong to a sports personality, but is the real story of a political supremo, none other than the TRS founder and Chief Minister of Telangana, K. Chandrasekhara Rao.

Tollywood director Madhura Sridhar is planning to make a biopic of KCR. He has announced the film and further said that the shooting will commence on 2nd June, 2017 on the Telangana State Formation Day. The film will be released in 2018 on 17th February, which is KCR’s birthday. Raj Kandukuri will produce this film on Dharmapada Creations.

Sridhar further said that he had spent sleepless nights,listening to the tales narrated by his father, who was part of the Telangana agitation in 1969. He further revealed that he has done some basic research on the Telangana agitation and met the Telangana and Samaikyandhra activists such as Chandrababu Naidu, YSR, Sonia Gandhi, Chiranjeevi, Lagadapati Rajagopal, Venkaiah Naidu, L K Advani and Pawan Kalyan who understood the Telangana agitation.
